|---|---|---|---|
| $480/mo | $235/mo | $245/mo | |

“Before” is the monthly utility bill. “Now” is everything they pay each month with solar: the solar payment plus what’s left on the utility bill. Results vary with usage, roof and financing.

Every mount double-flashed by the same crew that would come back and fix it if it ever leaked.
Your roof protects everything under it. Here’s what changes when roofers lead the install.
| EcoBill | Panel-only installer | |
|---|---|---|
| Roof condition checked before any design | Not always | |
| Mounting and penetrations planned by roofers | Panel crew only | |
| Roof repairs and warranty discussed up front | Often after install | |
| One team from permit to power-on | Often subcontracted | |
| Upfront price, with financing costs explained | Varies |
Every panel is secured with the Pegasus mounting system, engineered for California roofs and double-flashed by Master Roofers.

One crew handles tear-off, underlayment, new roof, flashing, panels, and electrical. One timeline, typically 3–5 days, with $0 down for both.
Three other solar companies said my flat roof couldn’t handle panels. Ecobill’s roofers reinforced it. Our bill went from $420 to $12.

Walks every roof himselfIn 2018 I was running a roofing crew in Glendale. We kept getting called out to roofs where a solar company had drilled through the flashing, skipped the sealant, and moved on. Five-year-old roofs. $6,000 repairs. Panels that had to come off so we could get at the damage.
The solar company blamed the roofer. The roofer blamed the solar company. The homeowner paid.
So we started installing the solar ourselves. Same crew, start to finish. 2,100 roofs later we haven’t had a single leak, and I still walk every one before we call it done.
Three of the homeowners we’ve worked with, in their own words.
G4.9 on Yelp & GoogleRead our reviews“I was terrified of leaks after my neighbor's solar install caused water damage. Ecobill's team are actual roofers, not just solar guys. They replaced my entire roof first, then installed panels. Two years in, not a single issue.”
No leaks, 2 years in · Roof replaced first
“My roof was 22 years old and two roofers told me to replace it before solar. Ecobill did both for one monthly payment. The bill went from $310 down to $89. Same crew did everything.”
22-year-old roof replaced · Bill $310 → $89
“We'd been quoted $45K to do roof and solar with two different companies. Ecobill bundled it for $0 down and our total monthly cost dropped by $140. The written watertight warranty sealed the deal for us.”
$0 down · Monthly cost down $140

Yes. If it’s designed for the new rules.
The 30% homeowner tax credit ended for systems installed after Dec 31, 2025. With a lease or PPA, that 30% value can still reach your rate through 2027.
Under NEM 3.0, power you send to the grid earns about 75% less. Storing it for evening use, plus SGIP battery rebates, keeps savings strong.
Rising utility prices are the main reason solar still pays. Every kilowatt-hour your roof makes is one you don’t buy.
NEM 3.0 and SGIP apply to SCE, PG&E, and SDG&E customers. LADWP and other city utilities run their own programs, and your plan uses your utility’s rules.
Before you sign, you’ll have the system, the install scope, and every payment option on paper. If a number looks off, ask Armen about it.

For most homes, yes. The 30% homeowner credit ended for systems installed after Dec 31, 2025, but rising utility rates are still the main reason solar pays. With a lease or PPA, the 30% federal value can still be built into your rate through 2027. Your plan compares cash, loan, lease, and PPA side by side.
Not when roofers install it. We check your roof before designing anything, plan every mount and penetration, and double-flash each one. Every install is backed by a written 10-year watertight warranty. If your roof needs work first, we’ll tell you and price it up front.
Yes. Loans, leases, and PPAs all have $0-down options, and we can bundle a new roof with solar. Your plan shows the monthly payment, total cost, and who owns the system for each option, so you can compare them honestly.
On SCE and other NEM 3.0 utilities, a battery usually adds the most value, because power you store and use at night is worth more than power you sell back. It can also keep essential circuits running in an outage. On LADWP and other city utilities the math is different, so we price both options for your home.
